ADDITIONAL PRIVACY NOTICE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA PROVIDERS

ADDITIONAL PRIVACY NOTICE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA PROVIDERS

This notice incorporates all terms, conditions and disclosures detailed in our Privacy Policy.

On the Websites, we integrate functional and content elements that are obtained from the servers of their respective providers, including social media (hereinafter referred to as “social media providers”). These can be, for example, social media buttons and contributions or graphics or videos (hereinafter referred to uniformly as “content”).

DATA PROCESSING OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

Since social media providers operate servers around the world, it is possible that EU personal data will be transferred outside the European Union, including to the United States. A-CURE has concluded data processing addendums with each social media provider it uses on the Websites. These data processing addendums contain EU standard contractual clause which guarantee an adequate level of protection.

Please consult the relevant privacy policies and terms of service for the social media providers which are listed below.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT & HOW DO WE USE IT?

Social media providers whose content integrated on our Websites collect the IP address of the user. They collect your IP address to deliver the content. The IP address is required to display the content or function.

Social media content providers may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as “web beacons” or “clear GIFs”) for statistical or marketing purposes. The “pixel tags” are used to evaluate information such as user behavior on the individual web pages of this website. The pseudonymous information may also be placed in cookies on the user’s device and may contain, among other things, technical information on the browser and operating system, the websites to be referred to, the time of visit and other details on the use of our website, as well as being linked to such information from other sources.

WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING?

We have incorporated social media content and process data accordingly to safeguard our legitimate interests as the responsible website operator. This content optimizes our online presence and makes the Websites more user-friendly. The content also enables us to align our Websites offers with user behavior in relation to interests and to provide the user with a diverse and wide-ranging online experience. For social media providers of this content to be able to show the user the content we have integrated, it is technically necessary that the social media provider processes the IP address of the user.

As far as possible, we integrate social media plug-ins in a privacy-friendly way, so that you as a user of our website are first informed that when you select a certain embedded content, a connection is established to the server of the social media provider who provides this content. Only when the user clicks on the embedded content again after this information is given, does the connection take place, so that data exchange between the user’s device and the server of the social media provider only takes place once the user clicks on the embedded content (so called 2-Click-Solution “Sharrif”).

In this case you as the user give the necessary consent to the resulting data transfer as well as data collection and processing by the social media provider by your active action in the form of clicking the content again after the information has been provided. In this case, the legal basis for our forwarding of data to the social media provider is consent.

Insofar as a service provider does not enable such a data protection-friendly integration of its content but wishes to start collecting and processing data before actively selecting the relevant content, we will first obtain the user’s consent when the user enters our website. If the user gives this consent, the relevant plugin or script is loaded. If consent is refused, no data processing will take place to the extent described above. In this case, however, the corresponding content is not available.

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT PROVIDERS PRESENT ON THE WEBSITES

YouTube

We integrate YouTube videos on our Websites. This service is provided by Google (“Provider”). Please also note our general information on the use of Google services. Please refer to our Google Services Privacy Supplemental for additional information regarding how we use this information and the legal basis for processing.

For videos from YouTube that are embedded on our site, the advanced privacy setting is activated. This means that no information about website visitors is collected and stored on YouTube unless they play the video. The integration of the videos serves to safeguard our predominantly legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our offer.

When you play a video embedded on our site, YouTube will collect and store your data. Therefore, before playing the video, please review YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.

Starting the playback of an embedded YouTube video is done by active action of the website visitor and is considered by us as consent to the transfer of data to YouTube (Google).

When a YouTube video is played, the IP address and other login data of the website visitor are transmitted to YouTube, including information on which of our Websites the user has visited.
However, this information cannot be associated with a particular website visitor unless the visitor has logged in to YouTube or another Google service (e.g. Google+) before viewing the page or is permanently logged in.

When starting the playback of an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only stores cookies on user’s device through the advanced privacy mode, which does not contain any personally identifiable information, unless the website visitor is currently logged on to a Google service.

These cookies can be prevented by appropriate browser settings and extensions.

Presence of Other Social Media Networks

Through our website you can also access our online presence on different social media platforms and share content on your own social networks.

With these links you leave our website and are directly connected to our respective online presence on the respective social network operator.

On these social media platforms each site’s respective terms of use and privacy policy apply.

By clicking twice on a link to one of our presences in social networks, you consent to the transfer of your data to the operator of the respective social network and allow the operator of the social network to process the data in accordance with its privacy policy and terms of use.

As far as we integrate plug-ins as links to our presence in social networks, the user leaves the website by clicking on the link and is immediately redirected to our online presence at the social media provider.

On our social media pages, A-CURE may collect Insights Data. The purpose of collecting this data is to improve the web content and offers on our social media pages. Please note that we do not have any influence on the Settings of Insights Data. Settings are controlled by the social media provider. We only receive aggregated Insights Data from the social media provider. For detailed information about Insights Data see below.

The collection of Insights Data is based upon A-CURE’s legitimate interest in offering a communication channel to present ourselves, to analyze the success of the measures and to align our own offer with the interests of the visitors.

The terms of use and data protection information of the respective social media provider will apply as operator of the social network. Information on the terms of use and data protection of the individual social media providers is listed below.

In the case of requests for information or the assertion of rights of data subject, please contact the social media provider, as they have access to the users’ data on their sites and can respond to those requests. Because A-CURE is also jointly responsible, users may also contact us. We will forward that request on to the social media provider.

Where provided by the social media providers, we have concluded appropriate data protection agreements (joint responsibility or processing) and, in the case of transfer to third countries outside the EU/EEA, we ensure that suitable guarantees are in place.
